C. Grade Point Average/AYSMA Commitment

1. The scholarship recipient/competitor must maintain a 2.0 or higher grade point average to be eligible to enter most junior/community colleges.  Most major universities require a 2.8 to 3.0 grade point average to enter their classes.  Most technical schools do not require a grade point average but still offer an individual to learn a trade and earn a good living.  The AYSMA will not require specific grade point averages from its recipients. The competitor/recipient will do that as he/she is able.  The AYSMA will provide scholarships to its top competitors and its competitors that display the “Bushido Spirit”.
