At a Jeet Kune Do seminar hosted by Taoist Health & Martial Fitness in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 20, 2002, marking the 29th anniversary of Bruce Lee’s death, Sifu Ted Wong was presented with a plaque and certificate, showing appreciation for his dedication and outstanding contribution to the Jeet Kune Do community. Presenting Sifu Wong with the plaque and certificate were William Mattucci, Dr. Richard Lengyel, and Robert Herndon Jr.

Having trained with Bruce Lee from 1967 to 1973 as his private student, Sifu Wong is one of only two in the World certified by Bruce Lee in Jeet Kune Do. Since that time, Ted has become one of the most knowledgeable persons in the World on the art of Jeet Kune Do, and Bruce Lee’s teachings.
